Welcome to Storiebook Cafe!
502 NE Barnard St., Glen Rose, Texas 254-897-BOOK
Welcome to Storiebook Cafe; Glen Rose's only bookstore, where we are always closing the book on ordinary and you are sure to have a Novel Experience!
Storiebook Cafe has many chapters, with an ever growing cast of 'Storiebook' characters and many plot twists that makes each visit an entirely new tale to be told!
Located just two blocks east of the historic downtown square in Glen Rose, Texas, (click here for a map to Historic Downtown Glen Rose and Storiebook Cafe) in a historic building which once housed a Chevrolet car dealership, Storiebook Cafe is an independent bookstore that opened in November of 2008. We offer new and used books, wi-fi access, "Storie"time for the kids, author visits and book signings, live music, art demonstrations, photography... and pages more!
Storiebook Cafe also offers a great menu of sandwiches, soups, salads, and wraps; as well as some of the best homemade "comfort food" meals and desserts in town. Wash it all down with some of our "Somervell Sunshine" made fresh daily, a gourmet soda, or flavored coffees or teas.
Outdoor seating is available in our courtyard, and bookclubs and groups can gather in the 'garage garden' room for meetings. Storiebook Cafe is also available for tea parties, birthdays, bridal luncheons, family gatherings, meetings and special events.
Browse through our Storiebook Characters and see how much fun we have, and read from our Storiebook Pages to see just what is going on and how much fun we are having . Find out what time your favorite band will be playing or what artist or writer is visiting in our Upcoming Events pages. You can see what some of our friends have to say about Storiebook Cafe and Glen Rose, on our "Storie"telling pages.
Sign up for our weekly newsletter at Storiebook Cafe, 502 NE Barnard, Glen Rose, TX or through the contacts page and Storie will add you to the list of weekly updates and special surprises!
Until later... pages of fun!
