Thomas & Taylor Turner have been tearing up the music scene, wow-ing judges and gaining new fans in and around the metroplex, finishing in the top final selections of numerous music competitions.
The talented Turner Cousins won the City of Dallas market portion of Anthem's International Music Festival Competition 2008 (www.anthemimf.com),  and were named Best Acoustic Group in the national anthemimf festival, http://www.anthemimf.com/Best_of_2008.html).  They are two time winners of Lochrann's Irish Pub Open Mic Contest and earlier this year advanced from city level to Round 3 of NBC's 'America's Got Talent'.
Most recently, when not writing, recording and performing music from their new CD, "Progress", Thomas & Taylor have been selected among only 23 other bands in Texas to be apart of the Shiner Rising Star Competition. Radio station KHYI (95.3 FM) sponsors the Rising Star contest, and the winning band emerges with a CD recording and distribution contract and, other perks. On Thursday nights between July 23 and Oct. 15, bands compete, three at a time, until it all comes down to one top spot band. Each Thursday night winner is announced on the radio the following Friday morning, during the Chance Cody/ Big Gus morning show.
Thomas & Taylor will perform on Thursday, September 3, at Loose Wheels in Denison, TX. The winners are chosen based on audience support - so make a little road trip and cheer for Thomas & Taylor Turner...
With close family ties in Glen Rose, including parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and of course; the beautiful and charming, Mrs. Dorthy Jo Osborn, Thomas & Taylor say they enjoy coming home and performing at Storiebook Cafe because it's like a family reunion.
Thomas & Taylor's new CD, "Progress" is available for $10 at Storiebook Cafe! Get one early so you can sing along at their CD Release Party in the Storiebook Cafe Courtyard on Saturday, August 8, from 8 p.m. - 10 p.m.
